Fatigue, reduced libido, difficulty maintaining muscle, changes in mood, and poor recovery can be associated with low testosterone, but they can also have other causes.

Our physicians evaluate your symptoms alongside comprehensive blood work, medical history, medications, lifestyle, and other health factors to determine whether testosterone deficiency or another issue may be contributing.

When treatment is appropriate, your plan is individualized and monitored over time rather than based on a standardized dose or symptom checklist.

More Than a Testosterone Number.

Testosterone is only one part of men's health. Symptoms commonly associated with “low T” can also be influenced by sleep, thyroid function, medications, metabolic health, stress, nutrition, and other medical conditions.

That is why treatment at J'Adore Health begins with physician evaluation and comprehensive diagnostic testing. We look beyond a single testosterone result to understand the broader clinical picture before recommending treatment.

Treatment Protocols

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)

Testosterone replacement therapy may be appropriate for men with symptoms of testosterone deficiency and consistently low testosterone levels confirmed through appropriate evaluation and testing. At J'Adore Health, TRT is not prescribed based on symptoms or a single lab result alone. Your physician evaluates the complete clinical picture before determining whether treatment is appropriate.

What we evaluate

  • Low testosterone on appropriate testing
  • Low libido
  • Erectile or sexual concerns
  • Fatigue or reduced energy
  • Loss of strength or lean muscle
  • Increased body fat
  • Mood or motivation changes

potential treatment options

Testosterone Replacement Therapy (TRT)
When clinically appropriate, testosterone therapy is prescribed and dosed according to your individual needs, response, laboratory findings, and treatment goals.

DHEA & Pregnenolone
May be considered when clinically indicated based on your evaluation and laboratory findings rather than included routinely in every hormone protocol.

Thyroid Evaluation
Symptoms associated with low testosterone can overlap with thyroid disorders and other medical conditions. When appropriate, thyroid function can be evaluated as part of the diagnostic process.

CLINICAL NOTE

Our approach tests 60+ markers — not just total testosterone. We look at free testosterone, SHBG, estradiol, thyroid, and metabolic function to build a complete clinical picture.

Is Testosterone Therapy Right for You?

Testosterone therapy is not appropriate for every man experiencing fatigue, reduced libido, changes in body composition, or other symptoms.

Your physician will evaluate your symptoms, medical history, medications, laboratory results, and individual risk factors before recommending treatment. When TRT is prescribed, ongoing follow-up and appropriate laboratory monitoring help evaluate your response and guide dosing over time.

Treatment decisions are made through shared decision-making between you and your physician, including a discussion of potential benefits, limitations, risks, and alternatives.

HRT For Men Frequently Asked Questions

  • What is testosterone replacement therapy?

Testosterone replacement therapy, or TRT, is a medical treatment used for appropriately diagnosed testosterone deficiency. When treatment is indicated, testosterone is prescribed and monitored by a physician with the goal of addressing clinically relevant symptoms and maintaining appropriate hormone levels.

  • What are common symptoms of low testosterone?

Low testosterone may be associated with reduced libido, fatigue, changes in sexual function, decreased strength or lean muscle, increased body fat, mood changes, and other symptoms. Because these concerns can have many causes, symptoms alone are not enough to diagnose testosterone deficiency.

  • How is low testosterone diagnosed?

Diagnosis generally involves both symptoms consistent with testosterone deficiency and appropriately obtained blood tests demonstrating low testosterone levels. Your physician also considers your medical history, medications, health conditions, and other factors that could contribute to your symptoms.

  • Do testosterone levels naturally decrease with age?

Testosterone levels can gradually decline as men age, but age alone does not determine whether TRT is appropriate. Some men maintain healthy testosterone levels as they get older, while others develop clinically significant testosterone deficiency that warrants further evaluation.

  • Do I need blood work before starting TRT?

Yes. Appropriate laboratory testing is an important part of determining whether testosterone therapy is indicated and establishing a baseline for ongoing care. Your physician may also evaluate additional markers based on your health history and symptoms.

  • Will TRT improve energy, muscle, and libido?

Men with clinically diagnosed testosterone deficiency may experience improvement in certain symptoms with appropriate treatment, but individual responses vary. J’Adore Health does not assume that fatigue, difficulty building muscle, or low libido is caused by testosterone without first evaluating the broader clinical picture.

  • Does testosterone therapy affect fertility?

It can. External testosterone can suppress the body’s natural production of testosterone and sperm and may significantly reduce fertility while being used. Men who are currently trying to conceive or who want to preserve fertility should discuss those goals with their physician before beginning TRT.

  • How is testosterone therapy monitored?

Your physician will establish follow-up and laboratory testing based on your individual treatment plan. Monitoring helps assess your response, hormone levels, relevant health markers, potential side effects, and whether dosing or treatment should be adjusted.
